Sunday brunch after a morning at church are some of my favorite Sundays, and today was no exception! My family always enjoys a good brunch, and today we decided to try the new Cap City Diner in Dublin, Ohio. We love Cameron Mitchell restaurants and our meal today was proof of why we keep coming back!!
Cap City offers brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am - 3 pm and I would highly recommend trying brunch as a meal over anything because they do brunch so well! Cap City is a laid back sophisticated themed diner that serves upscale American cuisine and I love every part of the restaurant.
Our waitress first brought us a basket of cinnamon roll bread, and it was super fluffy, sweet and only a little bit gooey ;) Are you drooling just thinking about it?! Cause, same (and I just ate it a few hours ago).
Today, I decided to take the traditional route, and chose the four egg omelet. it was supper yummy, and came with breakfast potatoes, Texas toast and fresh strawberries. The omelet had rosemary ham, diced tomatoes and melted cheddar cheese to top the egg. I liked the flavor the ham brought to the omelet and the breakfast potatoes were nice and crispy, just the way I like. The Texas toast was also surprisingly good, and had a lot of butter on it (the way it should be)!!
My mom ordered what would've been my second choice, the French toast. I was fortunate enough to get a bite, and let me tell you, it was fantastic! The toast was topped with fresh blackberries//blueberries, a lemon curd, and maple syrup. It had just the right amount of crunch, but yet it was light enough with the berries on top to make it the perfect summer brunch dish.
My family chose to skip the dessert (a big bummer for me) because it was brunch... and we had already had some pie last night. Like I said, we love the Cameron Mitchell group, and all of their restaurants, I believe, have the signature dessert we absolutely cannot pass up (thus why I'm mentioning it): chocolate peanut butter pie. It is an Oreo crust, a creamy peanut butter filling with chocolate ganache//chocolate sauce and topped with whipped cream. Drooling again? I don't blame you. I honestly wouldn't even judge you for going up to the bakery counter for a slice of pie and walking out with no meal.
In all seriousness, the Cameron Mitchell Food Group is fantastic for all of the occasions life has to offer. The Cap City Diner, especially, is great for celebrating a birthday, a date night with friends... or even a simple Sunday brunch :)
