Today highlighted a very unexpected surprise: a mini trip to Cannes, France!! As we prepared to take a drive to Milan, Italy, we decicded to stop in Cannes for a quick swim in the Mediterranean and a stroll down the boardwalk for some lunch.
When we arrived, the sky was blue, the water was crystal clear, and the sand was sinking between my toes. It was such a beautiful day and could not have been more perfect for a few hours in Cannes.
Along the boardwalk were stands with sandwiches, crêpes, smoothies, ice cream and fresh fruit. I chose a caprese sandwich and a fresh cup of mangoes. My sandwich was one of the best I've had on this trip and the mangoes were so refreshing for the hot day we had while on the beach! It was a great last lunch to end my time in France.
Although it was a gorgeous day, we couldn't stay in Cannes forever, and we had to get back on the bus to finish our journey to Milan. We passed through amazing scenery, including Monte Carlo, which was smaller than I would've imagined but still a gorgeous view, overlooking the bluest water I've ever seen!!
We have arrived in Milan, Italy and I am looking forward to the leadership summit discussing food sustainability in our world and beyond. I hope that you'll stay tuned as I continue the second chapter of my food journey :)
My blog is all about faith, family, friends, and food:)
